He is a chartered accountant and a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, also a cost accountant with a Masters degree in Management Science from MIT, USA. He is a senior partner with Kirtane & Pandit Chartered Accountants. He is also Chairman of KPIT Infosystems Ltd., a multinational technology company based out of Pune, India.
He was earlier a member of the NASSCOM Executive Council and served Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) as its president. He has hold positions on the Board of Management of Symbiosis International University and has been associated with Aga Khan Rural Support Program (India) as a Director. He has also served as Independent Director on the Board of several listed and unlisted corporate organizations.
He regularly speaks frequently at national and international forums on business, finance, industrial policy, globalization, and information technology.

He is a chartered accountant and senior member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India; he is also a member of ICSI. He has more than thirty-five years of experience covering management, accounting, corporate finance, and operations.
Starting his career in 1985 as a partner with Kirtane & Pandit Chartered Accountants, one of the first and most reputed accounting firms in Pune, India, he later co-founded and led the Investment Banking arm of the firm. He co-founded ESOP Direct in 1998, which he heads to date. He is actively involved in the policy-making initiatives on ESOPs in India.
He is a committee member on ESOPs established by the Securities and Exchange Board of India, SEBI. He actively participates in forums on ESOPs has co-authored the Guidance Note on Expensing of ESOPs for the ICAI. He regularly addresses national and international conferences on ESOPs.
Besides handling the company’s overall management, Harshu engages in ESOP consulting, management, and statutory compliance projects. Harshu guides the research, knowledge development, and branding activity of ESOP Direct. He has pioneered the design and development of ESOP administration methodologies and software solutions in India.
